Morning Arrival
As the weather is getting colder and students arrive with more garments, please make sure they are ready to exit the vehicle as soon as it comes to a stop along the curb in the main parking lot. Thank you for your continued support as we strive to maintain a safe and efficient carpool operation.
Hearing and Vision Screening
During the course of the next few weeks, Dr Reese (our school nurse) will be performing hearing and vision screenings on all 3rd grade students, as required by DeKalb County. There is no need to send in a note of consent. If your child does not pass the screening, you will be notified.

Expensive electronics and other items brought into school
We ask that your student(s) do not bring expensive electronics, toys or any other unnecessary (and valuable) items to school. They have a tendency to either get misplaced or damaged.
Please encourage your child to be respectful of their fellow students and their property. Remember CREST. The GLOBE Academy is not responsible for any loss or damage of personal items brought onto school premises.

The pictures below show Mr Brantley's 4th grade social studies connections class learning how to use atlas, as they study the causes of the American Revolution, and also a picture from Kate Allen's visual arts connections class, as students began applying base coat colors to their mixed media anthropomorphic sculptures!

We’re collecting used uniforms this Friday morning!
This Friday, December 2, we will be collecting used uniforms at LC and UC during morning carpool. Please wash the clothes and put them in a bag. PTCC will have volunteers standing by the drop-off line to receive them. To keep carpool running smoothly, please have bags ready to hand over as soon as you see us. If your children walk to school (and they can carry the bag safely) or if you walk your kids to the door, we will be there to take those bags too. If you’d like to help collect uniforms, click here to access the Sign Up Genius and join us.
Spirit Night at Fellini’s Pizza
Our next Spirit Night will be at Fellini’s Pizza (2820 Lavista Rd, Decatur, GA 30033) on Tuesday, December 13. Stop in anytime that day and a portion of the sales will go to GLOBE PTCC.
