The Panther Post
Feb. 7th - 11th
Principal's Message
Dear Parent(s),
I hope you are all keeping well and making the best of our current situation. I can tell you I'm nothing but impressed with our student's resilience as they navigate online instruction. According to the teachers I have talked to they have reported nearly 100% attendance in their Google meets. As you are aware, we will be back in the building on Feb. 14th after the Teacher's Convention, Feb. 10th & 11th.
The week of Feb. 14th - 18th we will be administering the Alberta Education Assurance Survey with our gr.7 students and teachers. That week we will also be sending home the links and access codes for you to complete the parent portion. This survey is massively important to us and provides us with the information/feedback needed to keep Pine Grove Middle School on a positive track. More information will be coming out shortly.
Below is important information for those who purchased Hockey Hooky tickets.
Best Regards,
Darran Lorne

Upon entry, each fan aged 12 and older must have a physical government-issued ID and present proof of one of the following for entry into Rogers Place:
- Receipt of full COVID-19 vaccination, meaning the full series of a World Health Organization approved COVID-19 vaccine or combination of approved vaccines, received at least 14 days prior to the day of the game.

Food and Beverage
The Government of Alberta recently enacted new COVID protocols affecting the operation of Rogers Place. As a result, food & beverage sales are unavailable at concessions around the arena.
Further, food and beverage may not be consumed in the seating area at any time. However, your group will have a window to consume food and beverages during the game in a designated area in the arena.
Your meal time and location:
- The start of the Second Period through the end of the Second Intermission
- North Mezzanine Club, located behind sections 118-121
- Please see attached Concourse Map with area noted for students to eat
All students are welcome to bring a bagged lunch to the game. As well, there will be $10 meal options and $5 snack options available for purchase in your designated area.
Complimentary water stations have been set up on the main concourse and fans can access them free of charge. Please Note: Water must be consumed while at the Water Stations.
Masks
Fans aged two and older are required to always wear face coverings while on Rogers Place property, except when actively eating or drinking in the designated areas.
Parking
All Buses will enter via 102 street from 106th Ave going southbound and will be directed via an Impark staff member to their parking space. The buses will be assigned a stall upon arrival.
The spots will have a stall number and the bus driver will be given a sign with a stall number to be placed in the bus to identify. All drop off and pickup will happen within the lot.
Please ensure the drivers follow this directive. If there is a special need to drop off students closer to the arena, that will need to be communicated to Impark on Feb 7th to assign the drop off area on 102 street only. These buses will be given a spot in lot 475 to park until pick up happens after the game
No buses will be permitted to drop off along 104 avenue to avoid traffic congestion.
Please see the attached Parking Map for visual detail.
Online Teaching Materials
Please see attached.
Game Day Booklet
All students will receive upon entrance into the game. Students are reminded to bring a pencil as well.
