2018-2019 Open House / Registration Reminders
Five Forks Middle School invites you to Registration Day/Open House on Thursday, August 2, 2018. It’s a great opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, find out about Five Forks, and learn about how you can support your child. This year, we will hold registration by last names. Please do your best to join us during the following times for your child’s registration:
·10:30 - 11:30 □ A-G
·11:30 - 12:30 □ H-M
·12:30 - 1:30 □ N-Z
Prior to Registration Day/Open House: To simplify the process and to make the most of our time with you. MyPaymentsPlus options are now available online. Parents are strongly encouraged to complete the following steps prior to Registration Day:
- Log into the Five Forks Middle School website http://www.fiveforksmiddleschool.org/home and click on the “MyPaymentsPlus” link under “Quick Links” on the right side of the page. Then you will complete the online portion of the registration process.
- If you already have a MyPaymentsPlus account, log in by entering your Username and Password.
- If you do not have a MyPaymentsPlus account, select “Register for a Free Account.” Use your child’s student ID number to complete registration for your account.
- Upon sign in, you may complete registration. Once you acknowledge you have read the documents, you may continue to the next screen. You can then pay fees and make contributions for various items such as: school meals, Brookwood School Foundation, PTA, supply contributions, etc. Select the fees/contributions you would like to pay for and continue through the payment process. We REALLY appreciate your support!
On Registration Day/Open House:
- First, park on the field behind the school or in the parking lot to the left of the school. If you park on the field, you will come up the stairs, cross the blacktop and enter the school through the back doors. There will be plenty of Peer Leaders and staff members stationed throughout the building providing maps and assistance. Additionally, homeroom assignments will be posted on the windows on both the back and front of the building. If you do not see your child’s name on the list, please go to the Media Center, and we will help you get on your way!
- Next, you will make your way to your student’s homeroom teacher. Here you will receive a schedule of academic classes for the semester. There will be additional information for you to review and update. You will also receive several other pieces of helpful information! If you have any questions, we will have staff members in the Media Center who can assist.
- Finally, before you leave, please visit the gym. There will be an abundance of informational tables set up—PTSA, cafeteria, transportation, Five Forks Fathers, contributions, walker/car rider tags, spirit wear (credit cards accepted!) and so much more. You will not want to miss it!
Have you completed your summer reading assignments? All language arts classes have summer reading assignments. To access summer reading assignment information, visit the Five Forks website and look to the right side of the screen under “Important Dates and Info” and then “Summer Reading Information and Lists,” and there you will find the lists of books/articles for each grade level and assignment.
If you want to find your child’s homeroom teacher ahead of Registration/Open House, we will post them at the front of the school on Wednesday, August 1st after 5pm!
