Now that we are back from winter break, we are entering into a time of test prep for our STAAR and second language learners. I am attaching a letter from our Director of Special Populations concerning TELPAS testing. As always if you have any questions, please reach out to us.

Good afternoon parents! Manara’s Intent to Return for 2023-2024 is now LIVE. Filling out this quick and easy form allows you to save your child’s seat for next year, rather than going through the enrollment lottery with all new students. Even if you aren’t returning to Manara, please go ahead and complete this form, as it helps us identify accurate class numbers for next year. The first grade level on each campus to have 100% responses to the ITR form will receive a special treat from Dr. Wilshire! Any students that complete this form by Friday will also receive two free dress down days.

It is a wonderful time for us. Our special populations department has created a youtube channel with lots of amazing informtion. If you use the following link it will tak eyou to this channel fo rthe information.

ESL Channel

We had a fun night last night at our Manara Family Fun Night. It was great seeing all of you there. If you were not able to make it you missed three amazing games of volleyball. In the first game the student took on their parents and were able to win. Way to go students. Parents it was amazing to see you up there competing against your child. In the second game we had the staff taking on the students. It started out as a massive lead built by the students. The staff made a comeback towards the end, but the students pulled off a victory in a close game. The third game was the board against the students. This time the students fell behind but were able to rally and pull the upset.

We then enjoyed some time just hanging out after the games as well. If you missed this night we will be holding another fun night next month around February 16th. Hope to see you there.

Autism Awareness month is coming up in April. Manara Academy will be putting on an event but wanted to give families a chance to order shirts to support Autism Awareness. If you would like to order a shirt click here to go to the page. All families will be paying their own order however the shirts will ship to the district and we will get them to you once they get in. The orders close on March 10th to get the shirts here in time.

This is a reminder that cell phones and ear buds are nOt to be used at school during school hours. If they are out they will be taken. Reminder that all students are to be in school uniform at all times unless it is a dress down day or a campus approved alt dress day. High school students have assigned seats for lunch. Please remind your student to stay in their ssinged seat. Are next Friday night lights will be on Janaury 20th for any student that has earned afterschool detention.
