Barton Junior High School

November 2022
It is so hard to believe that November is here. Before we know it we will be having holiday break and the first semester will be coming to a close. Our students are doing so much better with getting to class on time and avoiding tardiness throughout the day. Let's keep that up!
During the month of October we had a successful parent teacher conference and celebrated students and staff of the month! Red Ribbon Week was a fun week to celebrate life being drug free. We also had an amazing Powder Puff Game to culminate a fundraising effort for Barton Gives Back and TeamCorrie for breast cancer awareness month. The Powder Puff game and fundraising effort was an idea submitted to me by Barton student, Kerrigan Shelton. I appreciate her imagination and giving heart!
Coming soon, to ensure the safety of students and staff, will be new guidelines for entering the building each day. Parents, we need your help with this! Once the Opengate Detection Systems are installed, students will ONLY be allowed to enter the Gym (if 7th grade); Dome (if 8th grade); Cafeteria (if eating breakfast); or Front door upon arrival to school. Please be looking for more information coming about this very soon!
As always, thank you for your support!
