Test to Stay Program

Para leer y completar en español, haga clic aquí: carta con información y el formulario

We have an exciting new Test to Stay program for our students! This program will allow your student to stay in the classroom and continue to access in-person learning even after they have been identified as a close contact at school!

It works like this:

  1. If your student is identified as a close contact in one of their classes, you will get a message from us (the Bremerton School District) via phone and email.
  2. Your student can return to school immediately and will test at the school before class begins every other day during their quarantine.

It’s that simple!

What do we need from you to make this happen?

  1. We need your consent to test your student. Please submit this form electronically (or sign and return the letter below). Once it is received by the district, you will not need to resubmit it. Your students will be eligible for the program for the remainder of the school year. (If you change your mind, just let us know and we will remove your student from our list.)
  2. Your assurance that:
    1. You will keep your student home if they develop symptoms;
    2. That they will not participate in extracurricular activities during their quarantine;
    3. and that they will quarantine when not at school during their quarantine period.

In addition to the Test to Stay program, you can provide consent for us to test your student if they develop COVID-like symptoms at school. If they don’t feel well, they will need to go home, but with a negative test result they can return to school once they feel better and are symptom-free.

Review this letter for details about both programs.

Please help us keep your student in school safely by completing the consent form ASAP.

As always please reach out if you have any further questions
