The Eagle's Nest
Virtual Volume #25
February is Black History Month -- the traditional time to recognize what African-American women and men have given to the world. February was chosen for Black History Month because it is the birth month of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass, two figures instrumental in the abolition of slavery.
At Walsh, we value all types of diversity and are dedicated to creating a community enriched by young women and men of diverse backgrounds and respectful of differences. We are proud of the many ways our students understand and appreciate different ideas and different perspectives. Your sons and daughters listen, are empathetic and act wisely; they are well on their way to becoming leaders!
Have a wonderful weekend!
