Congratulations to our 11th Grade students they had an average of 97.4% for the week of Nov.11-15th.

They have free dress on Tuesday, Nov. 19th.

The goal for this week is to continue to make sure that everyone begins their day by greeting their students at their doors and start the lessons with good things.

Let's all create an inviting atmosphere that makes all our students feel welcome.

After our lockdown last Thursday I am happy to report that it went very smoothly. Almost all are doors were completely locked. We checked every single classroom door and listened for noise and we heard nothing. We did find areas of concern that need to be corrected such as doors locks that need to be replaced. As scary as the situation could potentially be, we can never be prepared enough. In the spring, we will have an unannounced lockdown drill.

Thank you for ensuring the the drill ran as smooth as possible.

According to The Fundamental Five, the most effective place for teachers to teach is in the "Power Zone"—close to their students. Teaching from this position, where the teacher moves among seated students, allows for effective monitoring while they work.

Circulating among students not only boosts focus and on-task behavior but also reduces discipline issues and improves students' retention of the material. This proximity enhances all other instructional strategies, making learning more effective overall.

Please make sure that you are keeping track of the students that you are coaching. Keep a sign in sheet and make sure that you have logged 10 hours before UIL competition.

If you know of any students that would like to volunteer. Please have them come let us know. We would like to create a rotation schedule to help out Gabby Pena.

If you have any students that would like to do announcements please have them come speak to us. We will be creating a weekly schedule to have students sign up.
