Fisher Family Update

Dear Fisher Families,

On behalf of all the Fisher teachers and staff, Happy Thanksgiving! It's a wonderful time to celebrate with family and friends, expressing gratitude for all the blessings in our lives. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous and memorable Thanksgiving celebration!

Mrs. Mahoney and Ms. Mansfield are working on a whole school kindness project for the entire school. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students created these letters which spell out Kindness Counts and the K, 1st and 2nd grade students created kindness notes which are displayed around this message. Fisher School throws "Kindness Like Confetti"!

Thank you to the PAC for sponsoring a school wide bingo as a prize for the coin challenge. We had a lot of winners and some super prizes! Thank you PAC!!

For more than 25 years the Walpole Elementary Schools has partnered with Dedham Savings Bank and participated in their Holiday Card Contest. If students would like to participate in the contest, we are asking that this take place at home and possibly at indoor recess (if applicable). Students will need to drop their completed cards off at the front office.

Here are the details:

• All cards should be on 8.5 by 11 white paper

• On the back of the card, please put the student's name, school, and grade.

• The cards need to be returned to school by Thursday, December 7th

Below are the generous prizes for each grade(district-wide) donated by the Dedham Savings Bank:

• 1st Prize $100

• 2nd Prize $50

• 3rd Prize $25

Mrs. McMillan's class along with Ms. Romano's class read the story Balloons Over Broadway - The True Story of the Puppeteer of the Macy's Day Parade by Melissa Sweet . Students then participated in a STEM Challenge to design and create a balloon for our very own Thanksgiving Parade through the halls of Fisher School. The students did an amazing job and had so much fun.

Our Fisher’s Finest Rally Against Cancer fundraiser with Meadow Farms is coming to its deadline. Please remember to place any orders no later than Sunday, November 26th. Proceeds from this fundraiser will support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as they work to find a cure for cancer and help young people going through treatment for cancer. This is the perfect opportunity to get some holiday gift shopping done from the comfort of home! Products from Lego, Stonewall Kitchen, and many others are available!
