Important Dates
The Oak Park Public Library will be stopping by each school to promote the summer reading program. The theme this year is Read for the Win! It begins June 1st and ends June 29th. Check out their website for more information.
May 2nd-8th: Children's Book Week.
May 5th: Celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
May 8th: Mother's Day.
May 28th: National Hamburger Day. Read Like Bug Juice on a Burger by Julie Sternberg.

The Strange Case of Origami Yoda

Sixth-grader Tommy and his friends describe their interactions with a paper finger puppet of Yoda, worn by their weird classmate Dwight, as they try to figure out whether or not the puppet can really predict the future. Includes instructions for making Origami Yoda.
