STAAR Find a Book Tool

Did you know that your child's STAAR Reading Report Card will help you select books for your child to read this summer? Are you looking for a list of books tailored to your child's interests and reading level? Are you looking for books that your child will not only enjoy, but that he/she will be able to read successfully?

Then take advantage of the Find a Book Tool in the STAAR Student Portal. You'll need to begin by viewing your child's most recent STAAR Reading or STAAR English EOC test to find your child's Lexile Measure. The Lexile measure indicates the reading level of the materials that your child can read successfully.

First, log in to your Skyward Family Access account, click District Links in the top right corner, and then TEA Assessment as shown in the instructions below. Follow the 4 steps below to find your child's current Lexile Measure and use the Find a Book Tool to generate a list of books that your child will enjoy reading and that your child can read successfully.

Follow the steps below to view your child's state assessment information including scores, detailed results, and test questions, your child's answers to those questions, and the Find a Book Tool. To use the Find a Book Tool, you need to view your child's most recent STAAR Reading/English test and find his/her Lexile Measure.
