88th Texas Legislative Session Opens
Toni Malone, GT Teacher at Cedar Creek Intermediate School, attended the opening of the 88th Legislative Session. Ms. Malone shared the following about her time at the Texas Capital. "I spent the day speaking with our elected officials about the need to increase the basic allotment for Texas schools, increase the amount that the state pays for teacher salaries and to change our funding from attendance based to enrollment based. In the 9th largest economy in the world, Texas should be funding its schools better. I hope that my students see that they each have a voice and that they each deserve to be heard."
