Parent Update
Watch us SOAR!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Happy summer! We made it! I can't believe my first full year at Clough is done. Thank you for your support and for welcoming me into the Clough Community. I have loved getting to know your students, the staff, and the families. I am looking forward to recharging this summer with my family, and I have already begun planning for next year!
It's important for us to collect feedback from families and hear from you what we are doing well and what we need to improve upon. The school council developed a survey for families to complete and help us as we strive to continually improve. Please take some time to complete this survey: Caregiver Feedback Survey. I will keep this survey open for a few more weeks in case people sill want to submit feedback. I will be reviewing the feedback from families and from staff and using it as we plan for next year.
I am excited for more time to read and write this summer! Thanks to all the students for helping to make lists of book recommendations for each other. I love to get mail so if students read a good book and want to tell me about it, they can either write me a letter and mail it to the school or they can email me (lgarden@mursd.org). I will write back! And any email or letter I receive will be entered into a drawing in the fall for free books from the Book Fair!

Here are a few quick updates:
- Thank you to the PTO for a great end of year social event last week! Ice cream, popcorn, music, inflatables, gaga ball, and lots of fun! I think we need to plan a welcome back social event for the fall. Stay tuned!
- Thank you to those of you who donated books or came to help with our 1st ever book swap. We gave away over 1,500 books to help kids kick off their summer reading!
- Check out our revamped summer learning info on the website! Lots of great optional activities to do as a family and keep the learning going all summer. And the Clough staff will be popping up at the Taft Library throughout the summer to read aloud to families, hope to see you there!
- The EPI School Supply Kits form came home. You can order a kit online and then it will be delivered to your child's classroom when school starts next year.
- See the flyer below about supporting next year's Clough Classic, our main PTO fundraiser.
- If you are able to help us take care of the Clough Garden this summer, please sign up on this form.
- Report cards are available on PowerSchool. Please reach out to the office if you need help accessing them.
- Class placement for next year will be available in August through PowerSchool.
Have a great summer! See you all in the fall!
Sincerely,
Liz Garden
