Thank you to the Millard Public Schools Foundation, Sodexo Food and Facilities Management, and DJ's Dugout for making this recognition truly special for our Employees of the Month!

One hundred and fifty-five teachers are in their first year with Millard. As Millard’s Human Resources department shared with the Board of Education last night, two of these teachers moved into their positions through Millard’s new para to teacher program. In coordination with Midlands University, the program is providing a pipeline for paraprofessionals who would like to step into a teaching career. The first two paras to complete the program have accepted teaching positions and several additional paras are currently in the program.

• Millard West High School Activities and Athletics Director Lance Smith has been selected as the 2024 Nebraska State Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association's District Two Athletic Director of the Year.
• Millard Public Schools Executive Assistant Jessica Carson has been selected as a recipient of the 2024 Nebraska State Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association's Outstanding Service Award.

• Alyssa J. Olson – Counselor at Ackerman Elementary School
• April F. Neidig – Fourth Grade Teacher at Holling Heights Elementary School
• Kenyatta D. Coleman – School Nurse for Millard Public Schools

The following teachers will be joining Millard next school year:

• Zachkary T. Kush – Science Teacher at Central Middle School
• Taylor M. Jonas – Math Teacher at Central Middle School
• Carly R. Renken – Special Education Teacher at Wheeler Elementary School
• Darrell J. Gross –Physical Education Teacher at Central Middle School

The following staff member has been announced as an administrator for the coming school year:

• Anne Keith, currently a Special Education Program Facilitator for Millard Public Schools, will be Coordinator of Elementary Special Education.
