We need your help!
- Please keep your sons and daughters home if you have someone in the house getting tested.
- We are trying to keep students social distanced at school; we would love your help outside of school.

Blair Oaks Military
Cookies for Murph
The Jefferson City Community will once again bake cookies for sailors on the USS Murphy. The USS Murphy is a destroyer based out of Hawaii at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The ship has 267 sailors and they love their sweets. Our goal is to bake a variety of cookies and place them in Ziploc bags and ship them for the sailors to help honor Michael Murphy and the current servicemen and women.
What to do: Please donate money to help pay for shipping costs.
Please write your check payable to Blair Oaks.
Gather with friends and family to bake cookies. Place the cookies in Ziploc bags and bring them to Blair Oaks High School Office (or call the school office and we can have a student come out and grab your cookies!) on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10th. Any variety of cookies will be greatly appreciated!
Gold Star Memorial Monument Report
The Blair Oaks R-II School District raised a total $2,664.14 for the Mid-Missouri Gold Star Families Memorial Monument (MMGSFMM). The foundation was around $2,000 short; our donation will allow the foundation to have the 30% downpayment needed to get started. Awesome! All three buildings did great:
- Elementary- $208.84
- Middle School- $580.80
- High School (with some Elem and MS help)- $1,834.50
- High School Black Rifle Coffee Donations- $40
Thank you so much for your support of our Gold Star Families.
Thank you!
We are very thankful for Tony Reinkemeyer, Sharon Townsend, Julie Middleton and our Blair Oaks High School cafeteria staff. They prepared a delicious meal for our annual Thanksgiving Dinner.
Instructional Choice
It is time to start looking ahead to second semester. Each family has the opportunity to choose one of the following three options:
1. Continue face-to-face education - If option 1 chosen, there is no need to do anything.
2. Virtual - Student would be enrolled in Launch, 100% virtual course based out of Springfield Public Schools. Blair Oaks covers the cost of the program; however, no Blair Oaks teachers are involved in the actual instruction students would receive. By selecting this option, students are committing to a full semester. If you choose this option, you will need to reach out to your building principal. If you are already virtual, someone will be reaching out to you.
3. Homeschool - Student would be educated at home, sought out and provided by the family. If you choose this option, please communicate with your school principal.
The deadline to choose virtual instruction is December 4th.
Mark your calendars!
