Principal's Message
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
This week Ms. Cheney and I have been visiting all of our classrooms to chat with students about being a part of the “Championship St. Vrain Team” and the expectations that come with being a team member. We LOVE visiting classrooms and this was an extra special visit for us. Connecting with children is at the very heart of what we do!
This message about teamwork and being a part of a championship team is being shared with all students at all schools across the district and focuses on both expected behaviors for children here at school and as members of the community. We also talked about how adults at school are here to help keep kids safe and support them to be the best that they can be. We are proud to be a part of (the champion) St. Vrain Valley School District and are grateful for all of the resources accessible to us through the district.
This message is a nice complement to our renewed focus on community and positive behavior here at Eagle Crest. This week teachers and staff have been reinforcing RISE behaviors in the hallways and on the playground. When we are responsible, inclusive, safe and empathetic we are demonstrating RISE behaviors!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,
Amanda
PS- Please see below for information about the code of conduct and signing off to acknowledge that you have received it. This is a districtwide document, please complete it before September. So far 3% of families have completed this. Our goal is 100%!

Dean of Students' Message
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
We are very fortunate at Eagle Crest to have a community that can walk and ride their bikes and scooters to school. It is a fantastic way to keep everyone active and reduce the traffic and our environmental impact on our community. We have had wonderful weather since the beginning of the year and many students have been riding their bikes and scooters to school. We want to remind everyone to lock up everything each day. While our campus is pretty quiet, we do have more foot traffic in the afternoons from high school and middle school students heading home. There have been instances where things have gone missing from the bike racks. It is safest to keep everything locked up during the school day. Thank you for helping us keep everything safe and accounted for!
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney

Code of Conduct
Every year St. Vrain Valley Schools prints an up-to-date version of the Code of Conduct for students and families to review. This important document informs students and their families about the expectations for school conduct and the consequences for behaviors outside of those expectations. It is important that families review this information every year and acknowledge their receipt and understanding of this document.
Please click here to access an electronic version of the Code of Conduct. After you have reviewed this information, all families must sign an electronic acknowledgement that they have received, read, and understand the information contained. To sign your electronic acknowledgement, please follow the steps described here.
iPad Insurance
So far 44% of Eagle Crest families have taken the opportunity to purchase iPad insurance for the 2022-23 school year. It is not too late to sign up! Please consider starting insurance for your students by either paying online, or bringing in cash or check to school. The full price is $25 per iPad for the school year and adjustments are made for families who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Those prices are $10 for free lunch and $15 for reduced. You can enroll in iPad insurance with as little as $1 right now and pay the rest off a little bit at a time. More information about iPad insurance is below.

PTO Update
Dear Eagle Crest Families,
Funding Vote for Cal-Wood 5th Grade Field Trip

The 5th grade team is requesting $2,900 towards the Cal-Wood 5th grade field trip. PTO sends funding requests exceeding $200 for a vote, so that our entire school community has a say in how funds are used. Click here to vote by 5 PM on Sunday, August 28th on the Cal-Wood field trip.
Last week's vote for Square State Skate ($1,800) and reading challenge books ($500) passed unanimously.

Add Money to your Child’s School Breakfast & Lunch Account
MySchoolBucks is the website you want to access in order to add funds to your child’s account for purchasing breakfast, lunch, or milk at school. This system will send you reminders and can manage the account of multiple students. Money can also be sent to school by check or cash. Please label any checks or cash with the students first name, last name, and teacher.
If you haven’t yet, you can apply for Free & Reduced meals to see if your family qualifies for free meals. Applying for Free & Reduced lunch will help manage fees (like iPad Insurance or sports) and also helps our school receive additional funds and services. We encourage all families to complete the application.
