Enjoy the Summer

It is been a great year and we are wishing everyone a wonderful summer. Please note some summer items below:

Report cards are open in the X2 Family Portal Thursday afternoon. You will receive an email from our clerk, Stella Murphy when they can be viewed
Next year's teacher placements will be emailed and sent out via UPS by June 30th. These placements will include a welcome letter from the teacher
Please stay tuned for summer announcements. As the building is cleaned and updated, we will be sending out dates for building tours and kindergarten playdates.

Friday is the last day to take the CPS Family Survey. Thank you for all of you who have already filled it out. Please consider taking the survey as your feedback is important to us.

Reminder ~ A Moment of your Time for the CPS Family Survey ~

Dear Chelmsford Families,

Our district values your feedback! We are currently surveying The Chelmsford Public Schools families in order to gain insight into your perception of our school and district effectiveness. We also want to better understand barriers to families accessing our schools and programs. To ensure we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your feedback. We want to know what you think.

To administer these surveys, we have partnered with Panorama Education to conduct our 2023 Family Survey. Panorama safeguards your privacy, keeping your responses anonymous. The survey shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete, and will be a valuable source of information for us as we work to make our schools and district as good as they can be.

You may complete the survey online between Thursday June 1st and Friday June 16th using a computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting the website below:

If you have multiple CPS school-aged children, please feel free to fill out multiple surveys to represent each individual child’s experience. The first question on the survey will be a dropdown to select which school you are filling the survey out for.

iReady Family Reports

Your child will be coming home with an end-of-year i-Ready report in English language arts and mathematics. iReady is an online program that helps us determine your child’s strengths and areas for growth, personalize their learning, and monitor their progress throughout the school year. Adaptive tests, such as i-Ready, match the difficulty of test questions to the ability of each student. The test adapts to allow student to gain competencies in standards at their instructional level. The purpose of this is not to give a score or grade but to provide teachers with an individualized instructional course of action based on each student’s unique needs. The iReady Diagnostic and Instruction program assesses and teaches the following subskill areas:

Reading

• Phonological Awareness

• Phonics

• High-Frequency Words

• Vocabulary

• Comprehension

Math

• Number and Operations

• Measurement and Data

• Algebra and Algebraic Thinking

• Geometry

You may find additional information about these reports and resources for your child on the iReady Family Center Page. Each students’ iReady account is available throughout the summer through their individual Clever Portal.

REMINDER BUS REGISTRATION INFORMATION BELOW:

As a reminder below for a previous district communication, Bus registration is now open. Please complete the online bus registration to support efficient planning of bus routes this summer. Early bird discount for those registering before July 4th. More details below.

BUS REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

School bus registration for the 2023-24 school year is underway. We need to begin to collect data on riders for the fall so efficient routes may be developed for the start of the school year.

An 'early bird' payment discount is available for registrations completed by July 4, 2023. Information pertaining to school bus transportation may be found on the Chelmsford Public Schools Transportation web page.

Please see the attached flyer and registration directions for more details. It is very important that every student is registered to ride the bus regardless of if there is a fee. Registering now allows the transportation department to begin building routes for optimum efficiency, and if you are required to pay a fee, you save money by registering early.

A few reminders about student transportation:

All students who desire to ride the school bus to or from school must register every year, even if they are not required to pay a fee.
All registrations and payments are processed online using MySchoolBucks
When registering, each student must be entered separately in MySchoolBucks. For families with more than one child riding the bus, a registration must be completed for each child.
MySchoolBucks will provide assistance for using their online registration system if needed during the registration process. MySchoolBucks may be reached directly at (855) 832-5226.

REGISTRATION PROCESS: You will need to look up each student in MySchoolBucks and add each student to your account. Looking each student up will require name and LASID or birthdate. Each student must be registered separately. For students new to the district, please allow 24 hours prior to registering on MySchoolBucks.
