Greetings Brothers:
This year we enter into Phase II of Operation 1906. Alpha was charged with spearheading the recovery efforts in Haiti by the World Council Policy. We were also encouraged to partner with other divine nine organizations as we assist and aid the poor and downtrodden not only in our communities but also in less developed parts of the world. Last year in just a few weeks, we were able to raise $700. We were able to provide food relief for 27 families. We were also able to provide educational financial assistance to a few students as well. This year as we relaunch over the next few months, we are expanding our reach. We are asking that divine nine members make contributions in the amount of their founded year. For ex. Alpha Phi Alpha...$19.06, Alpha Kappa Alpha...$19.08, etc. Part two of that initiative is if you are not part of a divine nine organization but are part of another civic organization with a founding year or you have a year of significance, a donation can be made in that amount as well!
