It's starting to feel like Fall!

Dear Families,

There are moments where September seemed to take a bit longer, and others (such as when I sit down to write this opening) that it feels like September went by in a blur!

We have been wrapping up our Fall testing--this gives us great information on where each student is and helps to create goals for each student. These also help create individualized learning pathways through iReady for your student to work on specific skills that they can build and develop. Students will work in iReady during the school day; however, you can always have your student log on at home!

Please join us in wishing Mrs. Anderson well as she ends her time with Ridgedale Elementary and begins to purse other adventures. She will be greatly missed within our school community. We are grateful for her many years of service and are excited to see what is in store for her in the future.

We are also looking forward to welcoming families back in the building for conferences. Conference sign up information has been sent out by your teachers, as well as a school wide email. Please take a moment to sign up to meet and discuss your student's progress. Masks are required for in person conferences.

Book Fair is Coming!

4th Grade Social Studies

4th graders have been studying Ohio's natural resources, as well as working on map skills. In September, students put their skills to the test as they "traveled Ohio" finding the resources and ingredients necessary to make the best blueberry pancakes Ohio has to offer! Students had to figure out what ingredients come from the different types of natural resources and what route woudl be best when traveling across the state.

Nurse's Corner

Reminder from Mrs. Mosher

IF your child got a letter sent home regarding vaccinations that are not up to date, please schedule an appointment for your child or call Marion Public Health at (740) 387-6520 to get the necessary immunizations. All students must be up to date by October 15th, 2021 or they will not be able to attend school until they have received the necessary immunizations, per the Ohio Department of Health.

Principals are required by law to prohibit any student from attending school if documentation of immunizations has not been received by the state-wide exclusion date.
