The 2023 GTE PTA Fall Festival is quickly approaching. We are excited to announce that after a very successful Spring Fest basket raffle, we will continue this tradition by creating theme baskets that each classroom will sponsor. We are asking for your help in donating items related to your class' theme. See the graphic for your child's class basket theme.
Please send in your item(s) with your child, labeled with their teacher's name or basket theme. All donations are due to your class by Monday, October 23rd. This allows us time to wrap and make the basket as fabulous as possible.
Your support is greatly appreciated, and all profits will benefit Greentree Elementary!
Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have regarding your classroom basket to your homeroom parent or our PTA Basket Committee chair, Meg Ford, megford2015@gmail.com .
Food Drive begins October 25th!
Calling for All Non-perishable Food Items (excluding Ramen noodles)!
Please consider donating items for our Annual Food Drive beginning Wednesday, 10/25 and ending Tuesday, 11/7! Your donations will go to the Society of St. Stephens to help those in need. There will be a grade-level competition for most donations.

Trot-n-Treat Fun Run is October 31st!
Trot-N-Treat is a family fun run that we do during the kids’ specials time. We invite our parents, grandparents and even our little brothers and sisters to come to school and run or walk in our back parking lot.
In each grade level, the classes compete to see which class has the most energy and endurance. After the run and the counting of the laps, a trophy is presented to the class that has earned the most laps. They get to keep the trophy in their room until the next family fun run. We encourage all to come, except for your pets.
We love animals at Greentree but it is too crowded and the leashes are dangerous.
If you are unable to run or walk, we always need people to help us mark the pumpkins!
4th grade: 8:10-9:00
3rd grade: 9:05-9:55
1st grade: 10:00-10:50
5th grade: 11:15-12:05
Kinder: 1:20-2:10
2nd grade: 2:15-3:05
If you plan to attend your student's Fun Run, please RSVP no later than October 26th.
Please send your RSVP to gtersvp@humbleisd.net

- Student Name / Teacher name

If you or your guest have previously been scanned into our Raptor system, a visitor badge will be pre-printed and available in the back parking lot. Otherwise, you must check in at the Front Office to scan your license.
ALL guests must have a Visitor Badge!
Clinic Reminders
Donations: We are completely out of boys shorts/pants in all sizes. If you would like to donate any boys shorts or pants it would be greatly appreciated!
Screening: I have started vision and hearing screenings in the clinic. You will only be notified of results if a referral needs to be made.
Medications: If your child will be taking any medication at school, prescription or over-the-counter, I
must have a district medication form completely filled out. ALL medication must be brought by an
adult in the original store package or with a pharmacy label. The medication
form and medication policy can be found on my website as well as the Humble ISD website.
Cough Drops: Humble ISD does not allow cough drops on campus, not even through the nurse clinic. Please do not send cough drops to school with your children or in their backpacks.
Feel free to contact me for any questions or concerns.

Humble ISD and Greentree LOVE Volunteers!
If you would like to volunteer with Humble ISD, you must complete a
volunteer application. EVERYONE must complete a new application
each year. Examples of volunteering at GTE include (but are not
limited to): PTA, workroom (copies), serving in the cafeteria, field trip chaperones, 5th Grade Patriot's Day.
The application is online. As a part of the process, a background
check is completed and within 72 hours, you will receive an email
notification regarding the status of your application. You can read
