SES Weekly Update!
January 15-19, 2024
Your love
flows like a stream
into the ocean of your Grace.
Your love
encircles this world,
displays your faithfulness.
Your love
is patient and kind,
brings wholeness and true peace.
Your love
is all we desire
to heal our brokenness.
As all things pass
and fade away
love remains
eternally.
Happy New Year SES families! Blessings for a joyous 2024!
Cheers to:
- Our SES parents and families, who strongly supported our book fair. Over 100 new books were purchased for the library as a result!
- Mrs. Frentz, who is making great gains with our students as our SES LIFT Literacy lead!

SES Rebels Night Out
Career Day
Our students will be focusing on career exploration at the start of the new year. We will be having our CAREER DAY on Friday January 26, 2024 from 12:45-3:00. It is an honor and a privilege to invite you to participate in our day! There will be approximately four 20 minute repeated sessions that afternoon. Most speakers spend time talking about their career, what got them interested in the career, and sometimes have an experiential part to their presentation, where students can “try” something pertaining to the career. Please complete the google form that was sent to your email or contact Mrs. Surridge directly at our school.
Lunch With a Bunch!
We are celebrating Family Literacy Day by hosting Lunch with a Bunch on January 31. Families (parents, grandparents, relatives, etc.) are invited to join their child(ren) that Wednesday at 12:20 PM to sit, read, and enjoy lunch together!
Family Literacy Day, established in 1999, is the largest national family literacy event in Canada! The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family.
