Please plan to join us on Thursday, December 3rd at 6:00 PM at JN Fries Magnet School for our 1st STEM Celebration Night. We are partnering with NC State to bring our STEM community a celebration of our students, our schools, and our success. We will have activities for the whole family and STEM challenges from each of our schools.

On November 3rd, 23 STEM teachers went to Legrand's Manufacturing Plant to learn about what they do and how to incorporate more STEM principals into the classroom. As with all our industry visits, it was a huge success. More than any technical skill, Legrand encouraged our educators to work with students on problem solving skills, communication, presenting and working with people. It was a terrific day and we are very thankful for our partnerships!

What an exciting time of year! Once again we will be showcasing our best PBL's in our annual Innovative Teaching Showcase. The Innovative Teaching Showcase is a time to present the best of the best! Each grade level will present a PBL that they are proud of and want to show and explain to others.

Are you looking for ways to bring more real world experience into the classroom? Look no further! We have created a STEM Partnership Database and we have numerous participants that are willing and searching for ways to partner with out schools. Please let your STEM Coach know what type of industry/field you need help with and they will research what we have available. Currently we have a pharmacist, economics professor, aviation drone company owner, etc...
