Email Moving to Google on June 15th
Are you ready? Read below for details on how to prepare for the move to Google!
PLCS Email, Calendar and Contact are Moving from Outlook to Google on June 15. Are you ready for the change? Over the next week you will be receiving daily “Google Facts”. The goal of this publication is to answer your questions, fully explain the transition plan to Google and prepare everyone to switch to Google on June 15th. We want to give every staff member the tools they need to help make this transition as smooth as possible.

If I am not familiar with Google, how do I prepare for the transition?
The technology department has built a website with numerous training videos and other resources to assist staff with the transition to Google. To access that information click here.

Q: Will I have a new email address?
A: Yes, all email address will change. Your email address will change to Firstname.Lastname@plcschools.org
Q: Can I login to Google using my new email address right now?
A: No, the switch to Google will happen on Monday, June 15th. Please wait until that morning to login to Google with your new email address.
Q: What will be switching to Google on June 15th?
A: Your email, calendar, contacts and tasks will be switched to Google on June 15th. You will still have access to One Drive and One Note through Office365.
Q: How do I login to my new Google email?
A: On June 15th, go to google chrome and click gmail, then enter your email address and password. If you are already signed into a personal gmail account you will have to log out or click add another account. Click here for step by step instructions to login through the PLCS My Apps website.
Q: What if I don't remember by password?
A: You can reset your password using the PLCS password reset website. Click here for step by step instructions.
