Just a reminder that today is a half day with a noon dismissal. Hopefully the greenery in the background becomes a little greener this weekend with warmer temperatures!

We are excitedly preparing for our spring musical, The Little Mermaid Jr. Over 85 Intermediate students are lending their talents to the cast and stage crew. We invite you to come under the sea with us for a show filled with adventure, humor, heart, and Disney magic. Ticket information coming next week.

Merton Intermediate School will be hosting a half day career event on Friday, May 13, 2022. The event will take place between 8:30 - 11:30 at Merton Intermediate School. We are seeking professionals to participate in either of the following options that day:

1. Speaking to students during 25 minute sessions about your career and highlighting the opportunities of your career field or company

2. Conducting Mock-Interviews with 6th - 8th grade students using provided questions.

We are hoping to give students an opportunity to explore a wide variety of career fields, so please consider sharing your time and expertise with our students!

Homework Club is up and running on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. Homework Club is held in the library from 4:15-5:15 and is a chance for students to work on their homework, work on group assignments, or get organized. There is no need to sign up and all are welcome to attend.

Two of our former students, Gabby and Megan, are now at Arrowhead and are members of a club for future health professionals. They are organizing a blood drive on March 7th across the street from the Intermediate School. Please see the poster below for a little more information. We are proud of Gabby and Megan's efforts!

The regular season has ended for 7th and 8th grade.

The 7th grade tournament is March 7th-12th at Lake Country.

The 8th grade tournament is March 7th-12th at North Shore.

***As a reminder, student athletes are not to leave early for any away games.

As we get closer to our Thanksgiving and Winter Breaks, many families are planning vacations. If you are planning a vacation, per school board policy, teachers are not to provide work in advance of the vacation. Our students have access to Google Classroom and can find all work there if they are on vacation during a scheduled school day. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Parents United offers a variety of parent workshops during every school year. Please see this attachment for something that might be of interest. These workshops are free.
