Northamtonshire Mental Health Day

Today we celebrated "Talk out Loud" a county wide initiative raising awareness amongst young people of mental health issues.

Year 11 Physics Workshop

Peter Tiktin from the Institute of Physics delivered an electricity workshop for our Year 11 students in preparation of their GCSE examinations.

Mr Jackson has nominated Year 10 student Abbie and Year 11 student Guy for excellent attainment in their Maths assessments.
Mr Rogers has nominated Year 8 students Adalin, Abdou, Erin, Jamie-Leigh, Lexi and Halle for displaying fantastic leadership skills in PE.
Mr Harley has nominated the Year 7 students who attended the trip to Festo this week, they were fantastic ambassadors for the school.
Miss Williams has nominated Year 8 student Kornelia for excelling in Trampolining.
Mr Harley has also nominated Year 7 student Hasan for winning the racing car competition, well done Hasan!
Also nominated in Design and Technology and Engineering this week are Year 7 student Ana, Year 10 student Alex and Year 12 student Frederico, well done and keep up the hard work.
The following students have been nominated by the English department this week, Year 11 students Nina, Logan G and Owen for their hard work and progress in their mock exams, Year 8 student Annie for for effort and resilience in her assessment and Year 12 student Taylor for her detailed and thorough Handmaid's Tale presentation.
Mr Gourlay has nominated Year 11 student Alex for his hard work and dedication in the build up to the Computer Science examinations.

Year 9 students performed a piece today which highlights mental health and coincided with the launch of "Talk out Loud".

Attendance Matters

Every single day a student is absent from school equates to a day lost of learning. At Corby Technical School we pride ourselves in maintaining excellent attendance. Our target is to achieve and maintain a whole school attendance of above 96.5%. We will be giving you weekly updates on our whole school attendance, the tutor group and house who achieved the highest attendance this week.
