Waikīkī School Parent Bulletin - February 6, 2024
We ❤️ our Waikiki School Counseling Team!
National School Counseling Week 2024, “School Counseling: Standards-Based, Student-Focused,” sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), will be celebrated from Feb. 5–9, 2024, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems and how students are different as a result of what school counselors do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
The special week honoring school counselors provides recognition for school counselors who implement comprehensive school counseling programs, a vital part of the educational process for all students as they meet the challenges of the 21st century.
Whatever you need to be successful at school – whether that’s learning how to stay motivated to complete your work, having positive relationships with your fellow students, advocating for yourself or overcoming barriers – Our awesome Waikiki School counselors are here for it!
It goes without saying how grateful we are to have our counselors Mrs. Loveman, Mr. Garibay and BHS Garett Chang supporting our keiki here at Waikiki School!
We will soon be bidding farewell to Mrs. Loveman, who will be embarking on a new adventure as she takes on a position at an international school in Beijing, China. As she transitions, we want to express our deepest gratitude for her years of dedicated service. We will miss her tremendously, but we are confident that she will continue to exude mindfulness and make a significant difference in the lives of children wherever she goes.
Please share your love and appreciation to our fabulous counselors!
