Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had an excellent summer and that you all found time to do all of the things you enjoy! I am very excited for the 2021-2022 school year with you and your children. LEE is an amazing school and we are so fortunate to have an outstanding staff and such supportive families!

Below you will find some important information regarding Back to School Night, the first day of school, communication at LEE, Eagle's Nest and Nutritional Services. You will also find links for the 2021-2022 academic calendar, and school supplies.

As was mentioned in Dr. Haddad's latest communication, we expect to communicate more detailed information regarding masking, quarantining, and other safety and logistical details by August 10th.

Back to School Night

Back to School Night will be held outside on Monday, August 16th, from 5:30pm -6:30 pm. Once again this year, we will be doing a scavenger hunt. Please meet us by the statue at the front of the school to receive your scavenger hunt form and map of activities. Come meet your child's teacher, find out ways to support our school, complete a fun activity, enjoy a popsicle and say “Hi” to friends old and new! All grade levels are invited to attend!

First Day of School

The first day of school is on Tuesday, August 17th for 1st-5th grades. The school day at LEE is 8:20am to 3:00pm. Students are expected to be at school on time. Our first bell rings at 8:20am and students will be admitted through their classroom doors at that time. Students who arrive after 8:20, will need to enter through the front doors. The tardy bell rings at 8:25am and students will be admitted to their class with a tardy pass received from the front office. Due to supervision and safety reasons, students should not be dropped off before 8:10am. St. Vrain Valley School District has an attendance policy that LEE strongly follows. Please click here to familiarize yourself with this policy.

Preschoolers and Kindergartners DO NOT start classes until Thursday, August 19th. All kindergarten families will be contacted to come in for assessments on either August 16th or 17th. In order to develop balanced kindergarten classes, we will use the kindergarten assessment data to create class lists. Kindergarten families will be contacted on August 18th by your child's classroom teacher.

All preschool families will be contacted to come in for orientation on August 18th. If you have not been contacted about an assigned day/time by Thursday, August 12th, please contact the office. Please make sure that all registration documentation has been turned in. If you have you have questions about what documentation is needed, or you are unsure if you have completed this, please contact Marcy Todd in the front office.

2021 Elementary Supply List

Please click here (en español) for a list of items your student will need to bring to school. Since items on the supply list are for individual student use only, please mark your child's supplies with their name, both first and last.

If you are concerned about being able to buy school supplies for your children this fall, Crayons to Calculators is here to help! Crayons to Calculators, a collaboration among area non-profit organizations, is a community-wide school supply drive for students in need. Crayons to Calculators is focused on ensuring that all students in St. Vrain Valley public schools begin school with the supplies they need to succeed.

Longmont Estates will be receiving our backpacks on Thursday, August 12th. Backpacks are available on a first come, first served basis.

Communication at LEES

We believe that communication between school and home fosters the partnership vital to the success of our students. To support this belief, we use numerous methods to keep lines of communication open, including, but not limited to:

LEE also has a Principal Facebook page to help with communicating important dates, student/staff celebrations, and fun things happening at the school. Please “like” the “Longmont Estates Elementary Page” to get frequent updates.

To ensure that you receive all communication from LEE, please inform the office of any changes in address, email or phone number throughout the year.

Eagle's Nest

The purpose of Eagle’s Nest before and after school child care program is to offer quality care within the school building. Eagle’s Nest is held in the Longmont Estates Elementary School cafeteria and gym. Our program provides a safe, structured and positive environment that supports student growth in a creative and structured environment.

At Longmont Estates, we recognize the importance of providing a quality, nurturing child care experience for your children. We realize that parents are looking for opportunities for their children to learn and play in a safe and welcoming environment. Eagle’s Nest is licensed through the Colorado Department of Human Services for children ages 5-12.

You won't want to miss out! Enrichment as well as Spanish and German will only be available in Eagle's Nest. Space is limited!

We are open from 7:00-8:20am before school and then again from 3:00-6:00pm after school.

Cost for Before & After School Care is $14 per AM or PM session.

Late Starts- $15 (from 8:20am-10:45) This is an additional cost to childcare.

Families that choose full time calendars will receive a discounted rate. This means choosing care Monday-Friday, anything else is considered part-time.

Registration Fee-- $50 for single/ $75 for family

Nutrition Services

All students are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch at school in the 2021-2022 school year.

We are still requesting that families complete the free and reduced lunch application at https://www.myschoolapps.com for this school year. Paper applications will also be available in the front office.
