Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.
Snapshot News:
The work below has been created by Victoria L (9ST). Victoria has worked extremely hard all term to create her own restaurant, logo and menu. This hard work and effort has paid off to make a fanatic project for DT.
The black and white work was created by by Mariyah (8SW). Mariyah has really enjoyed this project in DT and has put lots of extra effort in at home to create this excellent project. She has gone above and beyond expectations and has produced every tiny detail to a very high standard.
The second row of pictures are more amazing work completed by KS3 this term for their Restaurant Design in Design and Technology.

Maths:
Mr Lee has nominated Year 8 students Stas, Dylan K, Ollie, Zhivko, Kara, Harrison, Matthew, Kacper, Lexi, Chloe and Isabella and Year 10 students Dagan, Shamiso, Tye, Amelia, Darcey and Bradley. Also nominated, although Mr Lee has not taught the following students all year, they have always given 100% commitment to lessons:
Year 9 students Nikola, Courtney, Neave, Neva, Patrick, Isla, Faizah and Valeriu and Year 10 students Abigail, Leon, Gabriela, Holly, Tom, Nathan, Denisa, Jenna, Wiktor, Jayme-Lei, Milana, Oskar H and Daisy.
Mrs Wynn has nominated Louis in Year 9 and Eddie in Year 10 for an excellent week.

Mr Horne has nominated Joanna in Year 7 , Antony, Nana, Sandra and Rhys in Year 8 for their excellent work on transformations.
Ms Adamska would like to say well done to Beatrice and Lawrence in Year 7 for constantly producing excellent work in lessons
Music:
Year 9 – Dylan C from 9TA has recently passed his grade 3 classical guitar exam, achieving the highest grade of a distinction! This is fantastic news, well done, Dylan!
Year 8 – In year 8 this week, we have been creating collaborative pieces using the djembe drums to accompany some dramatic performances. The students have all worked hard to bring this together in a short space of time – watch out for some videos on Twitter.
Year 7 – Paddy, Sarah and Charn from 7TU have worked particularly hard this week on their pop song pieces. They have shown resilience and determination when they came across challenges. This is an important part of the creative process, great work!
English:
Mrs Brown has nominated Year 10 students Jenna and Sam A, Brandon W, Sophie, George S and Israel for great work annotating the poem Tissue this week.
Humanities:
Mrs Vaghadia has nominated the following this week:
9TA for working really hard in the RSCS lesson this week well done! Students in 9CO created some great comic strips part of this Comic Art this term well done! Also nominated are 7SI for working really hard in their Art lesson and creating some really nice pieces in the lesson.
9ST have provided excellent contribution to classroom discussions and producing great pieces of work in RSCS well done! Finally, 10CA for excellent contribution to RSCS lessons this term you have been great in classroom discussions.
Miss Gilbert has nominated the following:
7CU for their excellent commitment in Geography in the past term, and for going above and beyond in group tasks and discussions. Special shout outs go to Emily, Antony and Mauricio.
7CA for their determination throughout the term while learning about rivers and glaciers. This is a tricky topic, but this form continued to put 100% into every lesson. Special mentions to Kasper, Roisin and Ellie.
Well done to 8TE for engaging with every lesson and completing all challenges well. Special shout outs to Tyler, Joprince and Ava for their continued hard work throughout the term.
Lily and Shanli (8CA) have shown commitment throughout the whole term while learning about population and climate change! This commitment was further proven through their good assessment grades at the end of the term! Well done.
Maisie, Kaden G, and Omayer (8SW) have produced amazing classwork throughout the year showing a true talent for the subject. Well done, and keep up the hard work next year.
Chanelle A and Sean R (9ST) have shown amazing commitment to geography throughout the year which was shown through their amazing end of year test results. Well done for this year, and I hope you enjoy GCSE geography.
Well done to 9CO for succeeding in every step of Geography this year. Special shout outs go to Neva, Nikola S and Raivo for working particularly hard through the year.
Finally, Miss Gilbert is so proud of 10B for performing amazingly throughout the year, and most especially this term. Everyone has worked hard, and their mock exam results have shown their dedication and excellence in the subject. I am excited to see how you develop over next year, and for all your hard work to be worth it! Special shout outs to James H, Gabriela M, Jenson and Daniel D for showing excellent progress through the year. Well done, and enjoy your summer.
