5/4/2021
We are really in the home stretch now! Just this week and the next, that is all that separates us from finals and the end of this semester. It has been a wild ride leading up to this point - it is about time that we all take a collective deep breath and gather ourselves to close this chapter in a strong way. This edition of the Quaranzine will include activities, events and resources to help you do just that!
Wishing you wellness,

But First: A Self Check-in
There is perhaps no better time in this semester than now to take a look back to see how far we have come and also to look forward to prepare for what lies ahead. With the rate of vaccination increasing and the numbers of positive cases going down, we can feel optimistic about our chances of finishing this year on a good note. This doesn't mean that we should get too lax about guidelines, but it should hopefully remove some of the stress we've been feeling for a long time. There is just one more challenge - finals season!
Everybody has their own "go-tos" for relaxation and to reset themselves for finals. Below, you will find different ways to put your mind at ease, support the health of your physical body, sharpen your mental faculties and take purposeful breaks to continually replenish your overall energy. Reflecting on the past semester, pat yourself on the back for your accomplishments, let go of lingering past stressors and turn your attention to organizing the time you have left to do the best that you can. and remember, "Even Bs and Cs get degrees!"
Free Tutoring Ahead of Exams!
Here is an opportunity to join an exciting social media campaign in order to spread good vibes to help propel us across the semester finish line . You are invited to share messages of resilience and support across our campus by telling your own story of what helps you maintain a sense of hope. Stories will be featured on social media along with staff and faculty stories of perseverance and encouragement to help our campus community finish the semester strong.

What: Thank a Professor program
When: Running virtually from now through May 7
Where: Click here to thank a Professor.
It has been a tougher year for all of us, and professors have been forced to change the way that they have done things for many years. At the end of the day, your professors are deeply invested in your educational experience. Perhaps they worked to create an inclusive learning environment, made class especially interesting or engaging, or gave you important advice at just the right time. Let them know that you appreciate their contributions to your learning. Thank one or all of the professors who taught your classes this semester. This initiative is sponsored by the Center for Teaching Innovation.
The COVID-19 pandemic has made things so strange for all of us. With students studying remotely and in Ithaca, it's hard to feel connected to each other.
Lifting the spirits of our friends, family, and neighbors has never been needed more, and that's the reason Lifted is still on this year with both in-person and virtual options. We hope you take a minute to write a note to anyone on campus - professors, friends, peers - to show your appreciation as the year comes to a close.
Submit a letter below, and it'll be sent out for you in the spirit of Lifted!https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1tlRPBhrr7GfMDbpuoDyYejkneh6KYiyP?usp=sharing
