Here are the matchups for the 2022 LPL Regional Qualifier
Top Esports and JD Gaming have locked up the top two of China’s four slots at the 2022 League of Legends World Championship, but the last two will be decided via the LPL Regional Qualifier, contested by four other teams from the deepest league in the esport.
Owing to the fact that Chinese teams have won six of League’s last eight major international tournaments, the LPL will once again be sending four teams to this year’s World Championship. Even though every Chinese Worlds champion hasn’t come through the regional gauntlet, don’t be stunned if a team like 2020’s iteration of Suning Gaming makes a run at Worlds this year.
That would be a team who qualified through the regional gauntlet and made it all the way to the world finals, where they took a game off of an absolute wagon of a DAMWON squad. And the region’s “bottom-end” Worlds participants are only getting stronger.
Despite the league’s beautifully complicated Summer Playoffs bracket, their system for determining the participants for the Regional Qualifier is, like most others, via Championship Points, which are awarded to teams based on where they finished in both the Spring and Summer splits. With Top Esports and JD Gaming having secured their spots in the LPL Summer Finals, as well as China’s first and second Worlds seeds in some order, the number of Championship Points anyone else would be able to accrue have been locked in for good.
In terms of the number of Championship Points, Royal Never Give Up, EDward Gaming, Victory Five, and LNG Esports finished third through sixth, respectively, and will fight it out in a “waterfall-style” bracket for the LPL’s third and fourth Worlds berths.
Ranked by Championship Points, third-seeded RNG will play fourth-seeded EDward Gaming in a best-of-five match, the winner of which will qualify for Worlds as China’s third seed and slot directly into the group stage. The loser will face the winner of the best-of-five between the fifth and sixth seeds–Victory Five and LNG–for the LPL’s fourth seed at Worlds and a spot in the Play-In Stage.
Any other team that loses their match is done for the year.

Busio named Most Valuable Prospect from 2022 LCS Academy Summer Split
100 Thieves Academy support and rising League of Legends star Busio has been named the Most Valuable Prospect for the LCS NA Academy 2022 Summer Split.
100 Thieves has been known as one of the strongest LCS orgs at developing LCS and North American talent since their introduction to the scene in 2018.
That affirmation of their strong development program has been put on full display after it was revealed support Busio had been named the Most Valuable Prospect in LCS Academy for the year.
“Thank you to my teammates, my supporters, and everyone around me that helped me get this award,” Busio wrote on Twitter on Aug. 29 in response to the official LCS announcement. “It only goes up from here.”
100 Thieves Academy finished in second place in the NA Academy 2022 Summer Split with an 8–7–3 series record and a 23–13 individual games record.
Busio first got his start in competitive League as a mid laner for amateur team Polar Ace before landing a spot on 100 Thieves Next as the team’s starting support. Since then, Busio has climbed the hierarchical ladder in the 100T organization when he was promoted to the Academy team in July 2022.

“I think in one year, I can already be a pretty good LCS support and in two years, I think that I can be the best,” Busio concluded.

Taric jungle pulls off bizarre gank in League to save mid laner
Unconventional picks for the jungle role can often result in strange ganks in League of Legends—and the case was no different when a player picked Taric in solo queue.
In a clip posted on League’s subreddit, a player showcased a bizarre assist they managed to pull off in the mid lane. Despite helping Ahri claim a kill on the enemy Twitch, the Shield of Valoran didn’t walk into the lane at all—they were busy farming gold and finishing off the Raptor camp.
In the video, Taric was busy killing his Raptor camp while Ahri was freezing the lane under her turret. But the mid laner was also bound to Taric and was healing with him and channeling beams of light from Taric’s Dazzle (E).
At some point, the Shield of Valoran used his E to 메이저놀이터추천 simply take down the monsters he was dealing with. While this was happening, the enemy Twitch was engaging on Ahri and looking for a kill. But instead of being taken out, The Nine-tailed Fox hit her opponent with her Charm (E), making him an easy target for Taric’s Dazzle. After stunning Twitch under the turret, she picked up the kill instead with the well-earned assist going to Taric, who was still busy with the Raptor camp.
This early-game gank wasn’t enough to win the game, however. Taric and Ahri, unfortunately, lost in less than 31 minutes, according to OP.GG. Nevertheless, the highlight play more than makes up for the loss.
Riot reveals nerfs for Nami’s Electrocute combo, Renekton’s Q damage, and more for Patch 12.17
For League of Legends‘ upcoming Patch 12.17, Riot Games’ lead designer Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison has revealed the detailed notes for the various nerfs headed to the game.
Phroxzon said that the developers are only looking to fine tune some of the champions in next week’s update, and continuously testing to ensure that they don’t swing a champion too far up and down the power scale. Additionally, they don’t want to disrupt the meta that all the competitive teams have practiced and played on over the past month, especially with the 2022 World Championship right around the corner.
One of the biggest nerfs in the patch will be changes to Nami’s Electrocute combo on her Tidecaller’s Blessing ability. Her E ability will only count as one damage instance instead of multiple, which means that it’ll be a little bit harder to activate Electrocute because the rune requires three instances of damage to pop.
For example, Lucian and Nami are one of the best combos in the bottom lane due to their early kill potential with their synergistic kits. When Nami buffs up Lucian with her E, Lucian will be able to deal a ton of burst damage with his Vigilance passive, along with the bonus magic damage from Nami’s Tidecaller’s Blessing, and Electrocute activating all at the same time.
Another champion getting hit with some nerfs is 메이저토토사이트 Renekton, who will be getting a reduction to his Q damage, along with his empowered Q damage. Champions like Azir, Ahri, Sylas, Trundle, and Wukong should also stay in the current competitive meta, even though they’ve all received minor nerfs in this patch as well. Stopwatch is also getting a 50 gold increase to its overall price point, which could throw off some players who have gotten used to purchasing it before heading back out after their second or third recall to base.
Overall, these changes won’t shake up the meta too much, but should be a good adjustment as the 2022 Summer Split comes to a close, and every League fan’s favorite time of the year finally arrives. Patch 12.17 is scheduled for release on Thursday, Sept. 8.
