Winter Gear
With colder weather here, similar winter gear, and some students sharing lockers, it is very important to label your students winter items. This will help us make sure that we can return lost items to the correct student.
We would prefer it if you label your students coats, hats, gloves, snow pants and boots. This will help us keep our lost and found at a minimum and our gear with the rightful owner.
Thank you for labeling your child's winter gear!
In Case of Inclement Weather
If there would be a school closing due to weather, a notification would be sent via JMC, our data system. Please ensure your phone numbers and emails are up to date so you are able to receive updates in a timely manner. You can check your numbers listed by clicking on the JMC link at the bottom of the newsletter.
Also, if we would have an elearning day, you will want to make sure you have the learning packets you received at K-2 conferences handy. Grades 3-4 will be utilizing their chromebooks and google classroom. Teachers will email instructions and reminders to their classes by 10am of an e learning day and be available by phone or email if needed.
Rule of the Week
Be honest no matter what the situation is. Even if you have done something wrong, you will be respected for telling the truth and it is the right thing to do!

THUNDER HAWKS VS. CANCER
We are proud of our Montevideo staff and students as they help in the war against cancer. Thunder Hawks vs. Cancer are events throughout the school year created by coaches, staff, and students that bring awareness to the community and raise money to support local families battling this disease.
The largest fight campaign is the selling of Thunder Hawks vs. Cancer t-shirts. Through a partnership with Outlaw Graphix of Montevideo, these fight campaigns have been extremely successful. Over the last 7 years, Thunder Hawks vs. Cancer has raised over $39,000 to support local families.
If you would like to join our staff and students as they work to make a difference, return completed order form along with payment (checks made payable to Relay for Life) to any of the staff members/schools listed on the form by December 21st.
The order form can also be accessed on the school website or pick up a copy from any of the schools.
