Dear AESD Families,
The following update is provided to keep you informed regarding the Anaheim Elementary School District:
Update on Weekly COVID-19 Data for Anaheim
Our District continues to prioritize the health and safety of stakeholders as our top priority. As we have communicated, California no longer reports data within the tiered colored system. The City of Anaheim has also discontinued the collection and sharing of COVID-19 data. This is a link to the Orange County Health Care Agency to provide you with access to Orange County data.
COVID-19 Safety
It is important that we all remain vigilant in our safety protocols. CDPH has shifted its masking guidance from a strong recommendation in all indoor settings to advising the general population to use the CDC Community Levels to inform masking recommendations. Other safety protocols include frequently washing our hands and seeking testing when displaying any symptoms of COVID.
This week, each student will receive two COVID-19 take home tests. Please help us by screening your child before they return to school on Monday, November 28. If your child has any COVD-19 symptoms, keep them at home and report their absence to your school.
November 27th - National Parent Involvement Day
November 27th is National Parent Involvement Day and our District would like to recognize all of our many parent volunteers and families that help provide amazing support to our schools by giving your time and efforts. THANK YOU!
Reminder: November 21-25, 2022- Thanksgiving Holiday Break - No School
The Anaheim Elementary School District will be celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday and all schools will be closed November 21-25. The District Offices will be open November 21-23, 2022 from 7:45AM- 4:30PM.
City of Anaheim Holiday Lights Event
The City of Anaheim is hosting the annual Holiday Lights Drive-Thru event next Saturday 11/19 in Downtown Anaheim. This free event is a wonderful way for Anaheim residents to drive thru and receive 2 strands of LED holiday lights, along with some other goodies.
To attend, all you need to do is register online at https://www.anaheim.net/5760/Holiday-Lights-Drive-thru and drive through between 10:00AM - 1:00PM at Center Street Promenade across City Hall.
December Parent Engagement Classes
