Welcome Back
Hello Lowell Families and Caregivers!
Welcome back to another year in the Lowell Library! Some things stay the same and some only get better. Our classes for the beginning of the year will continue as they were last year. Lowell West students visit the library once per week for classes while at Phillips library classes will take place in the classroom. We will focus on getting to know each other and getting started in many of our online programs and spaces such as Google Classroom or typing. Grade four and five at Lowell West can check out one book at a time until we move in mid-October. This is not available to students at Phillips since we are in the classroom. When we move to the new and improved Lowell all K-5 digital learning and library classes will be held in the Library Media Center finally giving us the opportunity to learn how a library is organized, see what kinds of books we can choose from, and, most important, checking out library books.
Curriculum Corner
Our curriculum is a combination of library, digital learning , and computer science. Each year we build on previous year's work and expand our understanding in all three areas.
