Hispanic Heritage Month concluded with performances at both campuses last week. Thank you to the many volunteers who helped make this year’s event such a huge success. Children got to immerse themselves in a world of hands-on STEM-related exhibits last weekend. ScienceFest took place at Charles McDaniel Park on Saturday. A special thank you to Fred Miller, Akash Patel, and Andres Chang for organizing this fun, learning event. Also, thank you to everyone who volunteered to help out. It was a huge success and we are pleased to share a few images below.

There's less than a month to go until GLOBE Trot 2023. Order your spirit wear by Friday to ensure you receive it in time. You can also volunteer to assist on the day of the event.

Costumes on October 31

We are permitting students to wear a costume to school on Tuesday, October 31, with the following guidelines. The costume must not contain a mask, props, loose articles, be gory or violent in nature, or have any other aspect that could disrupt the classroom learning environment. We know, of course, that many costumes come with additional items, just please leave them at home. Costumes are optional; students may wear their uniform or spirit wear instead.

Lost and Found

Boys soccer team reach the finals!

The boys soccer team won their semi-final game 3–1 against Ridgeview. They now advance to the final game which will be played tomorrow, 4:30pm, at Atlanta International School. Come out and support the boys soccer team. GO OWLS!

Boys basketball team try-outs (5th grade to 8th grade)

October 19 and 20, from 3:45pm to 5:45pm at Clairmont Presbyterian gym (Family Center), 1994 Clairmont Road, Decatur, GA30033.

For planning purposes, if your child makes a team, practice days will be Tuesday and Thursday.

Important notes: Please wear a T-shirt, basketball shorts and basketball/tennis shoes to tryouts. You must have a completed sports physical form on file prior to your child taking part.

The final race is today at Garrard Landing Park in Alpharetta. Good luck to both teams!

Practices are Wednesdays, from 7:30pm to 9:00pm at Dynamo Chamblee.
