The State of State Funding in KY

We have two main “asks” for the legislature:

1. Provide the state funding necessary for all districts to establish a minimum teacher starting pay of $45,000.
2. Commit to getting state funding “Back-on-Track” so that we can at least have the same buying power that we had in 2008 before the level of state funding started to decline.

If we can accomplish these two things, it would alleviate a lot of the problems that we’re seeing right now across the board… Review our State of State Funding one-pager and reach out to our representatives. Thank them for the work they have already done and encourage them to continue to make education funding a priority!
