Athletic News
Cross Country ran on Saturday with Juliana Loge taking home a medal and Kinley Boyd taking 2nd place overall. Great job to all!
8th grade football came away with an easy victory against Luling Thursday night. Winning by a score of 40-0. 7th grade played a hard fought game but fell short losing 12-6.
Volleyball traveled to Florence on Monday with the both 8th grade teams coming away with victories.
Good Things in the Classroom
Student’s in Coach Blenden’s 8th grade social studies classes had representatives from the American Legion come and talk about the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution, including the 3 branches of government, bill of rights, and other key amendments in honor of the signing of the constitution in 1787.
Students in Mrs. Engler’s 7th grade science classes created edible cells. Which helped students learn the parts and functions of cells.
Students in Mrs. Villarreal’s Ecology class have been growing plants in their garden. Students planted seeds at the start of the year and they have now transitioned them outside.

7th grade volleyball parents for helping with sandwiches and snacks for road games.
Brighton Atchley for announcing instructions on how to do the battle cry for pep rallies.
Kinley Boyd and Juliana Loge for medaling at the cross country meet.
To the BISD Technology Department for assisting with MAP testing.

Blanco ISD fans and guests will have a new and more convenient way to buy athletic tickets to events during the 2023–2024 school year thanks to a new partnership with HomeTown Ticketing. The transition to digital ticketing will result in a reliable and simple experience that will allow fans and school staff to more easily and effectively manage all athletic events that require tickets for entry. Tickets for all Blanco ISD athletic events can be purchased through the District’s website or by downloading the HomeTown Fan App. Please see the QR codes in preparation for purchasing your tickets. The HomeTown Fan App will allow you to manage your entire ticketing experience on most iOS or Android mobile devices. The App allows you to purchase and store tickets on your smartphone or other mobile device. Simply search for events by school name, zip code, or event. You can also “favorite” schools to quickly find upcoming events, purchase tickets, and present your digital tickets to be scanned on your way into the
