A Weekly Newsletter from School Leadership
PLCs - More DATA !!
This week we are looking for information that informs our instruction, enrichment and remediation of the current cohort. It also helps to look back at your last cohort. At the end of the year, was there and area that you had thought they would have performed better based on your instruction?
After looking at school level data, and then grade level data, the week of 9/23 we will be talking about individual data Who needs remediation and in what? Who needs enrichment and where can they go deeper? Who may need a more official and structured tier 2 differentiation put in place and documented ? This data will then inform discussions in common planning for Success Block! By Sept 30th, you should have a structured plan for the weeks of October for success block, that should look markedly different than what you have been doing. You may need to flex group among the team to work smarter not harder!
Resource teachers will not need to attend a PLC this week (PE, art, music, Spanish, computers, etc.) ESE teachers need to select one PLC to attend each week, It can change week to week, but should align to the grade levels you serve.
Kinder and 1st will have common planning on Tuesday and PLC on Thursday in order to have data to discuss further.
Review: There are "9" main categories for a K-8 school grade!
