The Governor Winslow School Community has a special bond with our Veterans in Marshfield. Our students and staff appreciate their service, and we honor them throughout the year. This Veterans' Day, we made thank you cards for Veterans in appreciation for the sacrifices they made for our country. In lieu of homework this weekend, our students and staff have been asked to thank Veterans and to honor them by attending our Veterans' Day Parade on November 11 at 10:30AM. To all those who have served, it is with love and appreciation that our Governor Winslow School family wishes you a wonderful Veterans' Day weekend!

Wednesday 11/23: Gr 4 Thanksgiving Assembly, 9:30AM

Early Release, 12:10PM (no lunch served)

Thursday 11/24- Friday 11/25: Thanksgiving break

Friday 12/2: Trimester 1 ends

Friday 12/9: Report cards posted to Aspen

Monday 12/12: Parent-Teacher conferences, 6-8PM (by appointment)

Wednesday 12/14: Parent-Teacher conferences, 1:15-3:15PM (by appointment)

In an effort to increase safety and security of our students and staff, our district is implementing a new tool to help us monitor visitors and volunteers that come to our building. This new system will require all visitors to bring their ID to the office in order to be checked in. While we know a large amount of our parents and family members, we will be asking for IDs from ALL visitors. We thank you for your help with this new added measure that will maintain a safe environment at GWS.

FEE: Wednesday $45.00 / Friday $37.50

ADDITIONAL INFO: Join us for fun sports and gym activities before school! This program will be run by Recreation Director, Craig Jameson. Students should bring a water bottle, wear appropriate clothes to run around, and sneakers!

Lunch and breakfast will be served at all elementary schools this year free of charge.

A la carte items cost extra and cannot be charged to a student's account.

GWS GEAR IS HERE!!!

The store will be open until Nov. 13! Place your orders by then to ensure a delivery by Christmas.

If you would like to save on delivery costs, simply choose Ship to Store and the PTO will pick up all of the orders and bring the merchandise back to Marshfield where everyone will be able to collect them locally.
