2023-24 4K/New to Kindergarten Now Open
WUSD Families can complete the 2023-24 annual update and add their 4K/new kindergartner into the portal.
- Please log into your Infinite Campus portal account: https://wicloud3.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/whitewater.jsp
- On the left navigation bar, click on "More"
- Click on "Online Registration"
- Select the "2023-24 School Year Annual Update" option
- Once on the Annual Update page, you can proceed with updating student and family information and register 4K or New to K students for school

Be sure to mark your calendar for our in-person event on April 12th in the WHS Library from 9am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm! You can ask questions, meet our staff, and collect helpful resources. See you there!
WUSD Unplugged
We’d like to invite our community to our upcoming WUSD Unplugged office hours!
Join Superintendent Dr. Caroline Pate-Hefty and our Board President or Vice President to provide input, ask questions, and stay engaged with all things WUSD.

2023 Summer School
We are dreaming of warmer weather and planning for our 4K-12 Summer School Program! ☀️
Here are some important dates to remember if you’re interested in WUSD Summer School:
✅ April 10-28: Online registration open via WUSD Infinite Campus Portal
✅ June 7: Schedule pick up in the HS LMC (4-7pm)
✅ June 19-30: Session 1
✅ July 3-14: Session 2

Fort HealthCare Behavioral Health - Virtual Mental Health Services
This service will allow students to meet with a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, Angela Schuldies, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC. Angela provides medication management for treatment of mental health needs. Students will use a confidential room in the school building during the school day for their scheduled video visit appointment. Parent/legal guardian consent and participation in treatment is required, but can be done virtually as well!

Positive Happenings
Wisconsin Technical Excellence Scholarship Winners 2023
Congratulations to WHS seniors Josh Demrow and Brandon Haas! They were each awarded a Wisconsin Technical Excellence Scholarship for their proven proficiency and high achievement in technical education courses at WHS.
Josh will be attending Blackhawk Technical College and Brandon will be attending Madison Area Technical College in the fall.
Wisconsin Academic Excellence Winners 2023
Congratulations to WHS seniors Emma Weigel and Ashlynn Prah! They were each awarded the State of Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholarship.
This scholarship is awarded to seniors with the highest cumulative GPA at the end of their seventh semester. Congratulations to them both as they prepare for their collegiate academic careers.
Polar Plunge 2023
We are so proud of our team from Lakeview and our board member, Miguel Aranda, for taking the polar plunge to raise money for Special Olympics.
They raised over $5,000 and made the jump on Saturday, March 18!

Music in Our Schools Month
March is Music in Our Schools Month, a great time to express our admiration and appreciation for those bringing music to our students! 🎼
Our incredible music programs demonstrate to students the impact music can have on their mood, creativity, and energy. Thank you for sharing your passions and inspiring our students!
Lakeview Elementary
- Lakeview school was recently recognized as a Unified Champion School for their intentionally planned and implemented activities around inclusion. As a Unified Champion School, Lakeview was awarded a 50% kickback donation for all funds raised to support the Special Olympics of Wisconsin. Lakeview Staff, Students, and Families exceeded their goal, raising over $5000!
- Lakeview had the annual Spring Carnival this past Saturday. Games, raffles, silent auctions, and great food was put on by the amazing Lakeview PTA and parent volunteers!
Lincoln Elementary
- This month students read over 200,000 minutes, crushing their school goal of 155,200 minutes. Top students in each grade will receive a special lunch before spring break. Individually, students received money to use at our book fair based off of their total minutes read.
- On March 3 staff, students and families engaged in our Family Movie Night as they watched Flora & Ulysses.
- We would love to see you at our upcoming Fine Arts Literacy night on March 21 and STEAM night on May 2.
Washington Elementary
- Washington March 2023 Newsletter
- The pizza and popcorn fundraiser for Washington’s PATT was a monstrous success thanks to the hard work of our students. In total, Washington’s students sold just over $21,000 worth of pizza and popcorn to support PATT events that take place throughout the school year.
- Washington 4th and 5th graders, under the direction of Mrs. Troxel, put on a fantastic Spring Sing last Friday. ‘Pirates! The Musical’ was a huge hit. Featuring a large pirate ship filled with talented singers, an amazing show was enjoyed by all!
Whitewater Middle School
- Forward Exam testing will begin this week at the middle school with the 8th grade students taking the Science and Social Studies portion. All grades will take the English Language Arts and Math portions in April.
- Tomorrow, the WMS Theater will present two daytime productions of Seussical Jr. for the middle school student body, and shows open to the public on Wednesday, March 22nd, Thursday, March 23rd, and Friday, March 24th at 7pm. Wednesday is a "pay what you can" donation night, and Thursday and Friday, tickets will cost $5 for adults, $3 for students & seniors, free for 5 under. The cast and crew is composed of 46 middle school students, and there are eight high school students.
Whitewater High School
- WHS Family Newsletter: March 20th
- 119 high school robotics teams traveled to Duluth for twin FIRST Robotics Regionals from March 1 through March 4. Ferradermis, Whitewater High School's team, competed with 59 teams in the Northern Lights Regional, while the other 60 took part in the Lake Superior Regional. Ferradermis was one of the final 12 teams standing on the Northern Lights field, finishing as part of the 4th place alliance. Their next competition is March 23-25 in Milwaukee
- WHS Band and Choir students kicked off Music In Our Schools Month by performing in the Whitewater High School Chamber Music Festival on March 2nd. Student performances ranged from solos to small ensembles. Each event was performed for a clinician who then worked with the students giving constructive feedback to help them as musicians.
Whitewater High School (continued)
- Congratulations to the eight WHS students who earned their Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications in their Autos classes. Students earned certificates in Brakes and Maintenance and Light Repair and also earned a WHS Automotive work shirt.
- Whitewater High School Band, Choir, and Bell Choir Students performed at the Wisconsin School Music Association's District Solo/Ensemble Festival at East Troy High School on Saturday, March 11.Congratulations to the twelve soloists and four groups who will be advancing to State at UW-Whitewater in April!
Educators of the Month
Our Lincoln Elementary 5th Grade Choir was selected to sing the National Anthem at the Milwaukee Brewers game on Wednesday, May 24! They’ll perform at 11:50 am on gameday. 🤩🎤 ⚾
