The Mustang Messenger
October 28th, 2022
Greetings Mustang Families!
Thank you to all of the parents who came out to our PAC meeting and community presentation on Social Media. I am so excited to collaborate with our feeder schools' principals to serve our parents. I have included the presentation below for those who were not able to attend.
I know students are excited for Halloween on Monday. They enjoyed the lunchtime Halloween activity on Thursday where students guessed what was in the mystery boxes.
Have a great weekend!
Catherine Nicholas, Ed.D.

Tardy Reminder
This is a friendly reminder that school starts at 8:45am. Students are expected to be in their seats, ready to learn at 8:45am to be considered "on time." Our gate closes at 8:45am and students who arrive after the tardy bell need to go through the front office to get a tardy pass. If there are obstacles that are getting in the way with students arriving to school on time, please contact your student's counselor so we can work with the family.
Rancho Pico's Tardy Policy
Our Tardy policy can be found in the student planner and on our school website:
TARDY POLICY
Students are expected to be in class on time. When students arrive late, class instruction time is disrupted. Late students must report to the attendance office for a tardy pass. Please help your child to understand his/her responsibility in arriving on time to each class.
Students who develop a pattern of habitual tardiness will be subject to school consequences. Consequences include, but are not limited to:
• Student warning by the teacher
• Parent contact by the teacher
• Referral to the counselor
• Referral to an administrator
• Detention at brunch and/or lunch
• Loss of campus privileges (i.e., school dances, team activities, field trips, etc.)
