Mill Valley Weekly
Thursday, June 10th , 2021
Hello Mill Valley Families,
Despite a mid-day shower, we were still able to hold our 4th Grade Promotion Ceremonies and had the opportunity to celebrate our amazing 4th grade students. It's always hard to say goodbye to our students who have been with us for so long, but we are excited for their journey on to the middle school.
All of our Mill Valley students had a blast at the end of the year All School Dance Party yesterday. Today the students were excited to meet their next year's teacher and see their classroom.
Lastly, I am proud to announce that Mill Valley is being recognized by Wisconsin RtI (Response to Intervention) Center for our behavior, math and reading fidelity. See the details below.
Enjoy your summer and we'll see you for our Back to School Night on Wednesday, August 25th from 3:00pm-7:00pm!
Sincerely,
Robin Schrot, Principal
Allyce Harris, Associate Principal

2020-2021 Mill Valley Behavioral Data
We have so much to celebrate! A special thanks to our teachers and educational assistants for their diligence in teaching and reinforcing expected behaviors at school, and for your continued support at home to reinforce our expectations of being respectful, responsible, and kind.
Here are some highlights from this year!
Each class had 10 mindfulness lessons this fall by Reset-MindBody that addressed focus, self-awareness and self-regulation strategies. Self-care strategies for staff were also shared.
This spring we received sensory mats and outdoor pathways that can be used for self-regulation, motor skills and energy release.
Paw prints were again handed out to students who were respectful, responsible or kind. The school earned 11,425 paw prints this year! By den, here is the breakdown:
Red - 2202
Orange - 1671
Yellow - 1970
Green - 1914
Blue - 1937
Purple - 1731
* We focused on Stay Safe to Stay Open (SSSO) strategies and remained open the whole year!
