8th Grade Lunch issues: 8th grade lunch has been a concern lately (students staying seated and maintaining social distancing, leaving the cafeteria disruptively). To make lunch calmer and dismissal from the cafeteria safer, we have assigned students randomly to tables and have been dismissing students by table as opposed to all at once. This has made a big difference in the noise level and movement in the cafeteria. Dismissal from the cafeteria has also been much more orderly. Students have been told this plan will continue for a month and will then be reevaluated as to whether or not they can return to choosing their seating each day.
Parent/Teacher Conferences: Parent/Teacher conferences will be held October 21st from 3:15p to 8:30p. Teachers will be in the building to conference if you prefer an in-person conference. Virtual conferences are also an option. We welcome both types and just want to make conferences as convenient as possible for parents and families.
Mask Reminder: Students and staff are required to wear a mask while on the bus and inside the building. Masks must cover the mouth and nose throughout the day, except when eating in the cafeteria. Students who need constant reminders or refuse to wear masks correctly, will be sent to the office and parents will be asked to pick them up. It is imperative that all students follow these guidelines. Thanks in advance for your support.
