PRINCIPAL's THOUGHTS
Dear Page Hilltop Families:
Welcome AP Pulizzi! As of this past Monday, veteran teacher Michael Pulizzi has taken on the role of Page Hilltop Assistant Principal. This position became available when Mr. Lutinski transferred to another school district. I look forward to having Mike as my new admin. team partner. We will be planning lots of exciting experiences for all of our students and families! You will all get a chance to congratulate Mr. Pulizzi at our Open House on Wednesday.
Thanks, as always, for sharing your children with us!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Several parents approached me at the PTO meeting and asked how they might volunteer at school? We have MANY ways for you to volunteer: help in library, help in classrooms, help at lunch / recess, help with special projects (some of which can be accomplished at home), etc. We will also do our best to set you up with a schedule that is convenient for you, relative to days or week and hours of day. If you have any interest in volunteering with our school community, simply contact Mr. Deppe and we can chat about it. You can reach me at: fdeppe@asrsd.org or by calling the main office: 978-772-8600 x1401.
PAID SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS
There are times when we are in need of a substitute for a teacher and / or paraprofessional who may be absent. If you are interested in being considered for one of these opportunities, please contact Gail J. in the PH office: 978-772-8600 x 1401 OR gjanuskiewicz@asrsd.org
We also need substitute cafeteria workers at times. If interested, please contact Food Services Director Joe Ricci at: jricci@asrsd.org
MEET OUR NEW FRIEND, KARMA!
Our friends from the Ayer Fire Department stopped by this week to hold a fire drill practice with all of our students. You should all be proud of your children as they did an excellent job during the drill. We hope that they never experience a real fire but we want to be as prepared as we can be.
Deputy Chief Jeremy J. brought his chocolate lab puppy who is in training to be the new Ayer fire dog. We look forward to having Jeremy and Karma visit us often.
UNITED WAY "DAY OF CARING" EVENT
We had nearly 40 United Way volunteers visit our school for the annual "Day of Caring". They spent several hours working on various projects. PH parent and resident gardener, Jamie Perwak, directed a group of the volunteers as they did a lot of work in our Kindness Garden. Other groups were involved in painting projects, organizing projects and designing kindness posters to hang around our school. You will get to see these amazing posters when you visit on Open House night. Thanks United Way for always coordinating this amazing day of volunteerism!
CUP OF JOE, ANYONE?!
We were so happy to see the return of the ALLTOWN Coffee Express recently. All of our staff and visitors were treated to a fresh delicious cup of coffee at no charge. We invited our colleagues from the high school to stop by and enjoy a cup also!
PANTHER POWER STUDENT LEADERSHIP TEAM.
We are preparing for another exciting year of student leadership and community service. Many of our 4th and 5th grade students have already submitted their "letter of interest". We still have more room for additional students who may be interested. Our initial meeting will be held on Monday, October 2nd from 3:15 - 4:30. More details will be available during the Open House. Feel free to ask me any questions regarding this program.
