Greetings PHMS families and students,

All students will be taking iReady tests in ELA classes. We decided to space the tests out a bit more, so we gave Math first and saved ELA for this week. Attendance is very important to help us determine your student's current level and to begin providing instruction to help them experience academic growth in these subject areas. Thank you for supporting us in this process.

Our Positive Behavior Interventions and Support kicked off this week! Students are already getting close to earning some great rewards for their safe, responsible, and respectful behavior. This year we are also earning points for service and Pirate Pride. Today's Fall Pep Assembly honored some of our top earners in each grade levels as well as our fall sports teams. Go Pirates!

1st Quarter Progress Reports will be emailed on Wednesday the 21st. Let these be a good tool for discussion about goals and ways to improve/maintain.

Tutoring is in full swing. Help is available for students each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afterschool until 5:00. All core subject areas can be taught by our tutors. Take advantage of this learning opportunity if your child has been absent, is struggling, or is falling behind.
