Burton Closure
We are still planning to reopen the Burton center on November 17th. The additional positive case will not affect the re-opening date, as we had taken it into consideration when we made the decision to close.
We ask that all of our Burton staff and families continue to monitor their health and their children's health closely, and please contact either Jessica Milobar or Amy Hund if you or your child begin to show any coronavirus symptoms. Even when we are closed, the health department asks that we continue to report this information, and we are concerned about all of you.
Our Brighton center continues to operate normally, and as we reported to our Brighton families earlier this week, we have halted ANY travel between buildings for the time being, regardless of the individual's health status. We had only two staff members who traveled between buildings regularly prior to this closure, but both will refrain from travel to Brighton at this time.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns regarding these cases or our response. We don't anticipate that a full closure of this length would be necessary for every possible case of coronavirus, however in this situation, with the recent Halloween party and other considerations, it was clear that many staff and children were potentially in close contact with the infected individual. We would like to remind families that our policy does require at least a short term (2 day minimum) closure for cleaning when we have a confirmed positive case. Of course, we will work to keep therapy disruptions to a minimum, while doing everything we can to protect the health of all involved.
Thank you so much for your understanding.
Feedback Surveys
We received just a few responses to the new shorter survey with the last newsletter, and so we'd like to invite everyone to complete the survey again.
November has two themes: Transportation and Thanksgiving
In dramatic play, we're tying the two themes together by pretending to take a road trip for Thanksgiving!
In circle time, we'll be listening to our favorite Jack Hartmann sing about November.
Here's one of our wiggle and dance videos with a Turkey theme!
And of course, how could you talk about transportation without everybody's favorite The Wheels on the Bus?
CLOSED FOR THANKSGIVING - No therapy
