As we start our Christmas break, it is important to remember the value in teaching our children digital safety. Attached are great resource from our Screensanity including guides for Tik Tok, Snapchat and gaming from the training earlier this fall. Ensuring your children's digital safety is crucial, especially during breaks when they may have more unsupervised time online. Here are some steps to help keep your children digitally safe:
Open Communication
Set Clear Rules
Educate on Online Risks
Use Parental Controls
Monitor Social Media
Teach Responsible Online Behavior
Keep Devices in Common Areas
Set Up Family Accounts
Establish Tech-Free Times
Stay Informed
Teach Digital Literacy
Encourage Reporting
By combining these steps, you can create a safer online environment for your children and help them develop responsible digital habits. We strongly believe in a partnership with family, school and Church in helping keep our students safe and forming our children academically, socially and spiritually.
With Christmas Eve falling on a Sunday, Fr. Abner has expressed that there will be regular Mass times with the addition of Christmas Eve Mass. I have attached the Christmas Mass times below. I look forward to celebrating Christmas with our school families.
Thank you all for your dedication and support to Holy Cross! We look forward to another amazing semester in 2024! Wishing you a safe and healthy Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
