Principals Corner

RISE Wilroads Gardens was recently awarded a $6,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas. The grant will fund student horse therapy groups at Urban Riding Academy. RISE students will participate in horse therapy weekly. During the sessions, students learn about proper animal care and safety. Students learn to lead the horses under careful supervision. The program helps students develop confidence, self-control, and accountability for their actions. We plan to begin horse therapy in the second semester.
