As told in the October Counselor's Cone newsletter, October has many celebrations and observances. Please take time to note all of the events and deadlines.

"Learn the sounds of Fire Safety" is the Fire Safety theme for 2021. Does your family have an escape plan, meeting place, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detector? If not, please develop a plan, install detectors and practice the plan as a family. Please visit the SAFD web page for fire safety tips, senior safety, kids/Sparky, videos and other information. The gifted and talented referral window is open until October 22, 2021 deadline. Any student Kinder -5th grade can be referred. All 5th graders and 1st graders will be screened. If you choose not to have your 1st or 5th grader screened, you must complete the "Opt Out" form.
