R-PTLE Weekly Family Communication
Week of September 11th, 2023 (#3)
1/2 Days (check), Full Days (check), First Full week is here!
Dear Families,
Let me begin by thanking all of you for sharing your student(s) with all of us. What a joy it is to walk the halls with these young Rockets! Our classrooms have been focused on two main things: First, our classroom and building expectations. Although we will be continuing this teaching and practicing, we have completed our building walk and have had two weeks of teaching all of our Rockets what we expect of them in our building from corner to corner. Second, establishing the rhythm and tempo of delivering our instruction. By the end of this upcoming week our classrooms will have well established learning routines.
Creating our daily schedule and coordinating all of the transitions, instruction, and supports within and around the building are no small tasks for our teachers. Please join me this week in sharing a heartfelt thank you to our teachers, paraprofessionals, monitors, and all other professionals who instruct our students. What an amazing group of people we have here. They are all in for your student(s) and our learning community.
Let's enjoy an amazing week of learning!

September Breakfast/Lunch Menu
As you might already know from Mr. Edward's email sent out to our community a few weeks ago, all Students will have access to free breakfast and lunch this school year. Super Important to fill out the application below. If you have not yet already done so, please fill out the application below.
Free/Reduced Lunch Application
Update every school year!
Please click the link below to fill out our Free/Reduced application. It is important for a few school funding formulas to have these applications on file. The more applications we get turned in, the better chances we have to be granted funding from various different State and Federal sources. If you have been eligible for this program in the past, you will need to fill the application out for this upcoming school year. If you are unsure, please fill it out and the Kitchen Staff will be in contact with you. I filled out the Siembida Family's application - Start to finish took me 6 minutes on my phone.
Please note: Nobody at Twin Lake will see your application. ONLY our food service director sees these applications.
Power School Demographic Update.
Important!
Updating your demographics in your parent portal is so critical to ensure effective communication, safety, and staying informed. Please follow the steps provided in the PDF below. If you already have a portal account the demographic update is fairly simple and straight forward. If you are new and need to create an account follow the steps below. Please call the office for assistance.
The portal will open this upcoming week. If you click on the link inside the PDF and it states the portal is temporarily disabled, please try again later. I am not sure when the portal will go live, but it will be live sometime early in the week. We will provide another set of instructions with pictures to help guide after the portal opens. I will send an updated newsletter with these updated instructions that may be easier to follow.
