Preparing to return to school at a distance 2020-2021
September 16 is just a few weeks away!
We start this newsletter hoping that it finds you and your family healthy and enjoying the last few weeks of summer weather.
As we turn our calendars to September, the start of the 2020-2021 academic school year is just around the corner. As you know, this year will look different than years past but we know that we have students, faculty, and community who are ready to take on this challenge. We are in this together and are committed to maintaining a safe high quality education for our students.
The information regarding this national crisis changes on a daily basis. We appreciate your patience, communication, and feedback as we continue through these unprecedented times and make this year a successful one for our students and families.

Stand-alone Remote Programming
Parents who opted for their child to participate in the "stand-alone remote program" rather than the phased approach to re-entry (remote/hybrid/in-person) received an email earlier today with details about the stand-alone remote program. Those parents are asked to confirm their choice on the form provided in the email.
If you are interested in the stand-alone remote program but have not yet expressed interest in this opportunity, please reach out to Ms. Amy Buzzell (abuzzell@mursd.org) for additional information.

WELCOME NEW STUDENTS AND THE NIPMUC CLASS OF 2024!
NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION - PLEASE REGISTER IN ORDER TO ATTEND!
With the help of our student council, our freshmen and new students will participate in some fun outdoor activities that will help them to get to know our students and the school. In addition, small groups of approximately 10 students at a time will have the chance to tour the building, see our classrooms, and get to know their new home-away-from-home. We’re excited not only to meet them but also to answer their questions and help with the transition to classes that will take place the next day. We look forward to seeing you there.
Our new student orientation will look a bit different this year as we adjust to health and safety guidelines. Four separate 90-minute orientation sessions will take place beginning at 8am on 9/15. If you registered, please check your email as you were sent an allotted time slot that was assigned to you to come to the school. If you haven't yet registered, please do so by Friday, September 4 by clicking here.
